The hot Latin pop group Bandana, created from the winners of the reality TV show Popstars, makes its sensational film debut in this comic musical romp. Five very different girls- trendy waitress Virginia, hip-hop instructor Lissa, veterinary student Valeria, tattoo artist Lourdes and aspiring musician Ivonne - decide to put together a band, but encounter some unexpected obstacles along the way. She illustrates how the way Latinos are defining themselves, and refusing to define themselves, represents a powerful challenge to America's system of racial classification and American racism.
